Copper Kettle Coffee

By Amber Peacock

I had the pleasure of interviewing Amanda Sanders, owner of the Copper Kettle Coffee shop. Sanders has two kids, Gavin Hatch 15 and Brailee Sanders 9 and her Husband Jake Sanders. Sanders explained to me that she doesn’t get much free time for herself but when she does she loves working out and anything that has to do with fitness. Did I mention when she works out its at 4:30 in the morning?! That’s dedication. Sanders also loves photography, she takes pictures for many different occasions for people and they are so good! She is very talented! Now this coffee shop, is such a comforting environment and it’s a great hangout spot for the teens.

I asked Sanders the reasons behind opening up a coffee shop and her response was, “This building was meant to be a coffee shop, it just screams coffee shop. “and it really does give off the coffee shop vibe and I just love that. I love coffee and I was really curious about what her most popular drink was, so I asked. “it would have to be either the Caramel Macchiato or the Caramel Frappe. But in the mornings our Bulletproof Coffee is also very popular.” I was very impressed that they offered the Bulletproof Coffee because it is Keto Friendly!

Now let’s talk about their amazing pastries, Sanders explained to me that the Cinnamon Rolls are by far the most popular, but they go so fast that by the evening time they’re sold out! Now to end our interview I asked Sanders to describe herself in a hashtag! Her response, #INeedANap! This interview was incredible. So go grab a coffee or delicious treat at your local coffee shop, The Copper Kettle located at 200 S. Gold.

Dear Charlie,

It is my senior year in high school and I have chosen to have a full schedule even though I only need an English and a History credit. I'm starting to stress now that classes have actually started because I am loaded with homework, and it is taking time away from my friends and fun events. What should I do to help balance school work, stress, and my social life?

Dear Stressed Senior
School can be stressful. A good way to handle many classes and a busy schedule is time management and a daily planner. When you have deadlines write them in your planner and prioritize assignments and other school work. Stay focused on school during the week and spend time with friends on the weekend. Self-care is important too. All this hard-work will pay off when you attend college. Enjoy your senior year!
