LADYCATS WIN TOURNAMENT!

The ladycats clinch the Taos invitational and bring home a a beautiful new trophy. They also beat the Silver High Colts with an ending score of 64-51. Senior Adriana Giron balled out in the first quarter with 9 points to give the cats an early lead. The ladycats now have a 5-0 record, the best since 2010.
TENNIS
Wildcats, Pre-season tennis has begun practices will be held Monday - Wednesday from 4-5 pm and Thursday and Friday from 4:30-6 pm. Boys and Girls and needed!
Basketball News
The boys start off the season with a 3-2 record and will head to a tournament in Artesia. Good luck Wildcats
Girls Basketball
Deming girls basketball has received a new Varsity Coach, Coach Garcia. Coach Garcia has had 11 years of coaching experience and was the assistant varsity coach for the Gadsden Panthers. Garcia says "the girls skills are improving and they should surprise a lot of teams this year, hopefully we can get a crowd to get our girls going"

Our high school cheer team is getting ready for the upcoming basketball season, while at the same time they are preparing for their upcoming competition season. Their first competition is on January 19th in Las Cruces. They will be competing against other 5A schools in the district. The cheer team does so much for our Wildcats and we do not realize the work they put in. Wish them luck in competition.
